I can't believe, after the many anguished hours spent on campaigns against the closure of ENO and then the BBC Singers, that we're at it again. This time it's Cardiff University's really major and distinguished School of Music (where I taught for six years) which is threatened with the chop. For now I hardly need explain what a huge loss this would be to university music in the UK, to Cardiff's cultural life, and to Welsh education - there will obviously be a lot more of those arguments to come. In the meantime, one simple way you can signal your disagreement with this proposal is to sign the petition.
PICTURED - I know, poster not in Welsh.
